Cedar Memories, 11x14" Oil painting
The big lawn up in the Kokee Meadow will never be the same, after the massive Cedar trees came down. We discovered this winter that a series of falling trees had knocked them over and made it unsafe to have in a public area, where campers frequently camped under them for shade. They were an amazing group of old growth trees that held the essence of the Park for me, so I had to memorialize them.
