Early Spring in Waimea, 12x16" Pastel painting
On the corner of Waimea Canyon road and Kaumualii Hwy stands an incredible tree that cascades brilliant red flowers. I sat across the street and painted this scene in oil, but wanted to try it in pastel as a studio piece.
