Hale Puna is in Waimea town, a once beautiful residence of a doctor I am told, with sweeping verandas overlooking a huge monkeypod tree and the neighborhood. I think they are trying to restore it but for now it is the home of the farmers market. The sign near it reads 1830. the morning light on this relic is breath taking for me and I had to capture it in pastel.
